Lingerie may be a good gift idea for anniversaries and Valentine’s Day because those are couple’s celebrations. Birthdays are a personal celebration, so give her a gift that is just for her. If you do decide to buy a lingerie gift, make sure to choose something she’d be comfortable wearing, and finding the right size is also important.
Gift Baskets:
When in doubt, choose a gift basket. You might be cringing at the screen in confusion thinking, “A gift basket? I know she doesn’t like tubed meat or cheese!” But gift baskets have come a long way since then. You can find gift baskets in a number of themes, and some websites even allow you to design your own.
You could make her a goody basket with a few pairs of cute underwear, a nice bottle of perfume, body lotion, a book by her favorite author, a movie she likes but doesn’t own, her favorite kinds of candy, and anything else small she might like. You could use any of those gifts separately as well. Some other ideas are tickets to a concert by her favorite performer, her favorite tv show on dvd, a promise ring. you could pay for classes in something she wants to learn how to do, like eight weeks of a dance class or eight weeks of photography class. If you’re good at art you could draw or paint a portrait of her. if you’re good at music you could write her a song. If you’re good at writing you could write her a poem, or write a list of reasons why you love her (try to do 101 if you can.) You could take her out to dinner on the night of her birthday, or make her dinner. If you want something homemade, you can make a coupon book with things you’re willing to do for her, like wash her car, cook her dinner, treat her to a movie of her choice, give her a back massage, or sexual favors. You could get her a shirt from her favorite store as well.
You could go to the spa and have massages together so she won’t be alone, and after that you can take her shopping to pick out whatever she wants from her favorite store and then have dinner or go dancing.
I think you should either plan to take her somewhere during the day (other than meals) or get her a little something that she really enjoys. It doesn’t have to be anything big at all, just something so that she knows you were trying to get off by spending money w/o any thought as to what she might like. I guess for example, my fiance took me out to just a regular dinner the other night, nothing fancy. However, at the end of dinner he pulled a lindor truffle out of his jacket and gave it to me. Needless to say, those are one of my favorite things, but something I never ever buy for myself. I loved the fact he remembered; to me it just made our crappy dinner really awesome
make her a card saying how special she is. my boyfriend bought me a card saying : first our eyes connected, then our lips, our hearts.. and when our souls connected i knew i had found my forever. RIIIIGHT then i started crying not because im a baby, but because i actually felt how important and special i was to him. That card alone was the most i could ever ask for, because i felt how loved i was.
